The UNFPA in Myanmar commissioned this study to gain an initial insight into the sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence prevention and response, and mental health and psychosocial support needs of persons with disabilities in the program’s target states in Myanmar. The findings of this assessment informed the formulation of practical recommendations for improving the delivery of services to persons with disabilities in the country.

In Bangladesh, faith-based organizations have the potential to meaningfully address harmful gender and sexual and reproductive health attitudes, behaviors and norms among very young adolescents, their families and communities. This brief summarizes an activity that sought to strengthen local partner capacity to apply effective programming addressing challenges facing very young adolescents, a population that is commonly overlooked.

Bangladesh is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. Many people, especially women and children, have lost their lives and their houses to cyclones and are still bearing the scars. This collection of photos provides a glimpse into the struggles that women, girls, and vulnerable groups of people face during disasters across Bangladesh, as well as the support provided by UNFPA through our partners and donors to ensure no one is left behind.

To challenge stereotypical representations, this report draws on primary interview data to explore the views of Afghan male allies who are working for gender equality and feminist peace in the country. The report discusses the allies’ perspectives on gender relations and their commitment towards feminist peace and offers an analysis of the current situation in Afghanistan under the Taliban regime and its implications for male allies and their work.
