This document (based on a situation analysis conducted in South Africa and then field tested in other countries) provides tools and guidelines for a six-step situation analysis of national sexual assault services. It includes a facility checklist and a comprehensive questionnaire for health providers as well as notes on the tools. The guidelines are brief; users of the tools will need previous experience in planning and conducting such assessments.
