Tools in the Focus Populations section help to identify and respond to the needs of specific target populations. These tools are important, because many such groups, such as adolescents, have not been adequately served by more conventional health programs. Some of these groups and populations are self-identified, such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) groups, while others, such as men who have sex with men, have been identified by health practitioners to facilitate adaptation of programs to the needs of individuals facing similar health risks. If you would like to feature your organization’s gender tools on this page, please send links or resources to our feedback form.
